Focus Group Discussion & Declaration of Indonesia Soy Food and Beverage Network

The Focus Group Discussion & Declaration of ISBN took place in Hotel Santika’s first floor   meeting room (Cempaka room).

The number of participants present were 28 participants from industries and academics. The event was divided into 6 sessions, namely opening, introductions, presentations, focus group discussions, election of the organization’s chairman, and closing.

The speakers and the topics in presentation session are listed below:

  2. Prof. Made Astawan | Topic: Lessons Learned from The Indonesian Tempe Forum
  3. Prof. Ahmad Sulaeman | Topic: Lessons Learned from business network success stories

Activity: Opening and Welcome Speech

Presented by: Dr. Dadi Maskar, USSEC

Mr. Dadi explained the background of Indonesia Soy Food and Beverage Network (SOYBEAN Indonesia) establishment. Thailand’s success in processing imported soybeans and then exporting the processed soy based products became the initiation of SOYBEAN Indonesia’s establishment. The purpose of SOYBEAN Indonesia’s establishment is to gather stakeholders of soy based products in order to develop the business condition of soy based products in Indonesia and compete with soy based products from other countries.
